I've tried searching on this topic, but I've had no luck. I'm using V6 and Sony's MP4 codec was available in my list but it says there is no template for it and won't let me use it. Now I've gone back and it's gone from the list. I'm just trying to find better options for uploading to YouTube. Maybe you can't use it in V6, but then I don't know why it's an option.
