Can't see video

I was making a movie, everything was fine. My son started banging on the keybd, now when I try to preview the movie its black. All of the video clips now have a gray background. The sound is still there and I can see individual clips in the timeline.

What setting do I need to change.

At a guess, i'd say the video track is muted. Look for the circle with a diagonal line icon in the track header, right next to the exclamation point. It's probably clicked. Click it again to turn off muting and your preview should come back.

Wow! The same thing happend to me except it was my miniature Dachshund who was in my lap. The audio track had some dog barks on it and he suddenly rose up and put his front paws on my keyboard. Fortunately I knew how to undo his actions.

My dog is 6 years old; how old is your son? :-)

Yes, it was muted.

After I posted here I did a methodical analysis and found it muted

My son is coming up on 2

just an FYI.. as long as you don't get out of VMS then back in, Ctrl+Z should work just fine in undoing whatever the son/dog did..
