Here is a screenshot of my whole screen showing the Fx window on the left. The left margin is the actual left of the screen, so I cannot get to anything to the left of that, and cannot drag it as its un-draggable!

No luck - Simple or Advanced mode. I just happened to do the screen grab in Advanced mode. On thing I noticed in Control Panel was an exclamation mark by the Screen device, and when I clicked on this it said "Status: Driver error". I tried to download the latest drivers all this did was do to an analysis of the computer and then tell me that I could download the drivers for payment. I thought one could download the drivers for free. So I'm still at square one.

Presumably you have checked your "Screen" device or Graphic properties to confirm the settings are correct. As Cornico alluded it's as though the FX window is partly appearing on a non existent second screen.
