This is along the line of a searchable database suggestion by John Meyer in the previous post.
Could you write a script where the user could browse to a folder or type in a specific path to a folder (on say....the video drive) and the script would basically copy or reference all its subfolders so that it ended up in the media bin in the same hierarchy.
Then once in the media bin, the user could utilize the search functions or the heirachy to get specific media in the media pool and they could run the script in each project so they didn't have to reinvent the wheel.
It might be a major pain in the you know what--but it might be easy too, I have no idea. Maybe it would help with what John was talking about--or could work in conjuction with his script.
