VV cannot read straight from a DVD Video disk, you'll need to rip it to AVI or MPEG2 to get it into VV, the oter issue is also trying to get the audio. Go to vcdhelp.com for lots of info on how to do this.

At the end of the day if you've got a DVD player that you can disable macrovision on it might be easier to capture the A/V outputs from a player although you'll get a slight quality loss.
