You don't have to.
The current special for the Vegas/DVDA upgrade is $150 (shipped) or $135 (download).

Presumbly you're not using DVD Architect for producing your DVDs, but some other software (eg. Nero). However you may not be aware of the facilities provided by DVDA and, if not, it might be of interest to you. You have already noted that you can buy Vegas Pro with DVDA (these are separate software packages).

FYI, i'm ASSUMING that upgrade price is for Vegas to V7+DVDA AND V6+DVDA to V7+DVDA. If so, the just vegas users are getting a HUGE discount compared to previous years. That's the upgrade price users payed to upgrade to the same software/new version they had before (IE V4 to 5, 5 to 6).
