can vegas export OHCI files?

I just found out about Vegas (I'm a bit behind the vawe, I guess...) and it seems to be great - but can it export OHCI files? I want to use it to edit a 30 minutes short on a PC with Vegas, and then export the sound files into OHCI format to a sound editor, who would refine the sound on a Protools. Has anyone exported sound from Vegas to Protools?
Thanks...

OMF is what I think you mean...and the answer is no. To move from Vegas (or VideoFactory) to ProTools, solo each audio track, render each audio track as a .wav file, and then open all .wav files in one PT project- there's NO way for anything to get screwed up sync-wise if you do it this way.

Save the files to a 1394 drive if needed, and bring the drive with you to the PT house- almost any project can fit on one of these drives.

Ideal- maybe not, but OMF or any other project interchange format can be tricky- and lots of people have used the method above with no problems.

Hi Franko

OHCI stands for "Open Host Controller Interface" and is usually used in context with the protocol standard defined for both USB and 1394 controller card hardware interfaces and how they communicate with software drivers.

I'm not sure I see the connection between OHCI and Vegas. :-)

Can you elaborate?

Thanks
