I want to experiment with the free "Voodoo Camera Tracker" (for matchmoving purposes), but it only allows the importation of *.tga sequences. Is there anyway in Vegas to EXPORT a sequence of *.tga files from a DV AVI clip? (hopefully uncompressed?)
Daniel:
I'm too experimenting with voodoo (0.5 beta). I skip vegas on this part and go directly to Virtualdub to get the .tga sequence.
Have you figured out why voodoo always reads the scene as being upside down? Also I don't like very much the way the scene is constructed in 3ds, it seems the the scale is way off so all yo see is a bunch of crosses (7000 of them) completely cluttering the view, so it's really hard to position 3d objects this way.
Regardless of the above, I was able to render a small (2 sec) sphere that followed the scene perfectly, so there is still hope.
I use tmpgenc to get my TGA sequences. Exporting any type of stills in sequence from Vegas take foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....r..........r...............*ack* (fell on floor from old age).
Cacher,
I haven't even got to the creation of .tga files, so I can't tell you my experience yet....
The HappyFriar,
I'll try TMPGENC for the export. Thanks!
BTW, will these tga files be uncompressed (i.e., will I loose any video quality by exporting to tga files)?
