Can We Get Vegas Audio Output Options in DVDA?

I am editing 5.1 audio in Vegas by routing FL,FR,Center,RL,RR, and LFE to individual outputs on a GadgetLabs soundcard. I can't find such routing in DVDA. It seems to just use whatever default soundcard that Windows is using.

This is frustrating in that I can't preview audio in DVDA as it would actually sound in 5.1 surround before burning. When Windows is set to address the Gadgetlabs, it only addresses a pair. I also have a Soundblaster Platinum 5.1, but DVDA doesn't seem to be sending it 5.1 when I set it as Windows' default.

Am I missing it? If not, I'd like to put in a request for this feature. Make the output of audio options identical to Vegas, if possible.

DVD-A does not preview surround audio. It downmixes to stereo.

That's a bummer. Any chance of that showing up in a future version?

Once encoded to AC-3 you will be able to listen to stereo downwmixes only in DVDA preview mode. You can of course listen to your surround mixes as you create them- in Vegas 4 or ACID 4, but this has to occur prior to AC-3 encoding.
