start by inserting a regular fade up to the title event and drop a fly in transition on the front end of the event.
hope this helps

Create a fade on the end of your title by dragging the quarter-pie that appears in the top corner when you hover the cursor, then drop a transition onto the fade.

Videot,
I use track motion. Create your title overlay on the track above your video clip. With the cursor positioned on first frame of title clip, click on track motion and make sure sync to cusor box is checked in the track motion timeline. Remember, the track motion timeline is really the entire timeline (not just that clip like in PIP). Move the frame with the text up and to the left to define your starting point. Then move the cursor to the middle of the clip and then move the frame to that point (notice the path line of the text box). Click add a keyframe (triangle) to add it to the track motion timeline at the point in time of the cursor. Then position the cursor at the end of the video clip and move the text frame up and to the right off of the clip. Close the track motion window, position the cursor at the beginning and hit play. Your text should fly in and then fly out. If you want it to hold at the mid point, copy the mid point and move it down the timeline a little. Notice the text path line move with it. Play around with it. Hope this helps.

Yah Wanna try some real Hard Ball text manipulation? Download Satish's 3D Plugin? Pppphhooarrgh .. . you got more text manips than you can cope with - HAH!

Try the perspective and the X-Y- and Z coords. Change rotation and the perspective . . . Within 10 minutes you'll have text flying all over the place . . around your studio and outta window .. .! Make sure you do this with the correct protective clothing and remove small children and small furry animals too!

However be warned! The renders on this stuff wiil take time . . you could always open another project and get on with that OR make a copy of your project and work on another area of it . . . then bring it all bck together when the render is done .. .ahhh nested timelines would be good here .. .SONY? You listenning???

Regards,

Grazie
