Can you put images on top of video?

Hi, I just ordered Screenblast Movie Studio and there are alot of features I look forward to using but I had a question about something I didn't see or must have overlooked. Can you take an image and place it over the video, like they do on news stations, the have an imagfe with their logo and the name of the person talking. Can you do it?

Yup -- depending on what you have in mind, it can either be an actual image or text. There are 3 tracks available which will accommodate various combinations of video/text/overlays with variable opacity. Very flexible!

I'm wondering the same thing. Anyone out there know this one?

As cbrillow said, this is an easy one for Movie Studio. Just select "Text and Backdrops", then choose "Text" from the list on the left. Drop a Text Event on to the Text Track at the point in the video where you want to overlay the text and then enter the text you want. Just make sure that the background is transparent. The Text Event in the upper left corner of the Text and Backdrops tab is already set up this way.

This is where having multiple tracks at your disposal really helps!

Here is another thought. If you want to use another program to make an image EXPORT it as a GIF file then you can import it into MS on the Overlay track and it will show over the top of the video. Don't EXPORT it as a JPEG file or it will not have a transparent background thus comering the video on the video track.

I have so far just downloaded MS, but will probably buy the program. I was concerned about not having a bunch of titling options, but have discovered that I can take pictures, objects, shapes, manipulate and save in Photoshop with a transparent background, and import as media elements in MS and use any of the effects available to pan, resize, color, etc.
