In the forum account options you could go to *Non-Threaded view*, then in your browser, in the specific thread, File/Save As a Web Page, or in Internet Explorer, save as Web Archive, Single file (*.MHT).

I haven't tried this here, but it should work just fine.

Kentwolf, you da man! Worked like a charm, thank you.

Hardly a day passes that I don't learn something here.

I copy out the vital posts and add them to a long file in a text editor. Cuts out the small talk (which I like there and then, but don't want to keep).

Glad to help! I can answer a whole lot more *computer* questions than *video* questions, but every now and then I get one on which I can help. Still learning... :)

I do the exact same thing! There are times, though, the whole web page is nice.

I do a lot of MS Access programming and my running *.txt file in about 1 MB, which for ASCII text is very huge!

My Vegas one is much smaller...it's also not as hard as Access... :)

I use a program called ClipMate, which is a Clipboard utility. Just highlight what I want, then CTRL-C. This puts the 'clip' into a pre-assigned 'Vegas tips' collection whose title I can rename to something that is meaningful. At $24.95 it's one of the best utilities I've ever owned.
Lots of other useful attributes as well: screen capture at the flip of a couple of keystrokes, strip > from emails, power paste into forms, etc. I use it every day.

Evaluate it for 30 days at www.thornsoft.com (I have nothing to do with the company . Just a very satisfied customer).
