Cannot batch render in background

Hey, folks, first post in the forum, so I apologize in advance for eventual lack of etiquette!

I used to batch render regions in Vegas Pro 20.0 and, during render, use my computer for other stuff or even to edit other projetcs.

However, since Update 2, if I'm not mistaken, I cannot keep batch render running in the background. Every new region is starts to render, the screen comes back to Vegas (a small pop up window appears on the bottom left corner of the screen saying "Writing MP4 file, ##%"). Then, I have to stop what I'm doing, input alt+tab and continue to work.

Is there any way to keep batch render running quietly in the background, as it used to be in 20.0 before Update 2? Tried searching in Preferences, but couldn't find anything that sounds like what I need.
