Cannot Burn DVD with Sony Architect

I like using Sony Studio for editing tape. It does everything I need and is simple but when I try to use DVD Architect it does not recognize my Sony DRX-710UL burner. I bought Nero 6 Ultra and can burn DVD's but not after they have been edited with Sony Studio. I have not been able to do voice-overs with Nero. Has anybody been able to successfully edit and burn DVD's using the Sony Edit and Burn programs on a Sony external DRX-710UL burner? I have updated the firmware and programs with no success and have asked for Sony help on May 25th without response. Has anyone had success using Sony software with ANY burner and, if so, what brand? I am considering putting the Sony burner in a box and sending it back for a refund or telling them what they can do with their incompatable products. Any help will be appreciated. I only have Firewire for a connection. Does anyone have a mailing address for the appropriate Sony management? PO'd-you bet I am!

DVD Arch Studio (which is what you have) as well as DVD Arch are both well known for having issues with burners, though DVDA 3.0 has supposedly corrected some of these problems.

Anyway, you should be able to burn a DVDAS project with Nero - you'll get a warning from Nero (something about file allocation failure), but if you tell Nero to burn anyway you should be ok. The error is related to the fact that DVDAS creates files that are 2 bytes too large.

I'm not sure how to contact Scott W but hope he reads this. I can burn edited tapes with Nero to make DVD's but cannot bring along the audio. Apparently the edited audio (voice-over recorded sound) is in the format of "wave sound" and is not recognized by Nero's "My Media". If anyone can tell me how to extract added (modified) audio from the Sony Vegas MS I think my problems MIGHT be over. As you can tell I am rally a beginner and would appreciate ANY help.

I just heard of other cases with the same problem, & I'm one of them. I started to use nero to burn my DVDs cause architect ain't working, I'm still using movie studio to edit all my videos. I think they should update architect & not make people go to other softwares to burn their dvd's.
