Cannot change color on BORDER - Soft edge

Really simple

Have a scene, want to apply Border / Soft edge / It defaults to black. I can change the size, have it move, etc What I cannot do is change the COLOR. I see a small color menu icon and a medicine dropper (sample color ) but they will not click.

what do I do? I want a soft white border ? Vegas support seems unreachable.

You can't change the color because it's a soft edge ONLY.
What you can do is to apply a second Border FX.
Make the first FX the "solid white border" preset and the second one the "soft edge" preset.
Adjust softness as desired.
Save this as a custom preset for future use if you want.
