Cannot import AVI files, Vegas 18 works

Hi,

Here is a small AVI file that I can import in Vegas 18 but not in Vegas 22.
I tried in Vegas 22 to Enable & disable AVC decoding and HEVC decording..and still cannot get it into Vegas 22.

I tried on another pc with Vegas 23 and problem persists.

The 2nd file, I basically re-rendered it from Vegas 18 to a more friendly codec, but won;t open at all

@Julius_ I can open & play both inVP22.

One says '\FileIO Plug-Ins\magicyuvplug' & the other says '\FileIO Plug-Ins\aviplug'.

I have MagicYUV plugin, I'm not sure about the 'aviplug' , that's native Vegas isn't it?

Use Shutter Encoder to convert graphic-lower-LAG.avi to Pro Res 4444.

@Julius_ I can only get an alpha channel with 'graphic-lower-LAG' because 'graphic-lower-LAG2' is only RGB not RGBA.

@john_dennis Hmm, I wonder how I've got it.. I Googled & it mentioned Premiere.. I did have Adobe AE for a while & Premiere is installed along with that.. & still is but the sub ran out a couple of yrs ago.

@Gid @Julius_ Installing the codec from the original site makes the file work, but the codec hasn't been updated since 2011.

Yes, the file came from AE...but I cannot get any of the files on the timeline....I cannot even drag and drop it like you guys did....vegas 18 works like a charm.
Even the 2nd file which was re-rendered from Vegas 18 to Magic losseless, I cannot drag it on the timeline.

@Julius_ I tried changing a few things in Preferences like the AVC options in File IO but I could still open your files.. sorry
