Cannot vertically resize A/V master automation buses on timeline.

rraud wrote on 2/17/2025, 1:49 PM

In VP-22 (see screen-shot below) . I cannot resize the master automation buses and is to tiny to accurately adjust the automation envelope vertically. I also cannot have more than one master bus at a time. if another master bus is added, it hides the previous.  All other functions are normal for the master buses and tracks and work as they should. The earlier versions of VP I have (9, 16, 21) do not exhibit this behavior. Is anyone aware of a new setting.. or a bug? I use the master buses a lot, so VP-22 is will not be usable on most of my projects. Thanks for any help on my dilemma.

@rraud use the "resize" icon at the top of the bus track and move it "Up". That moves the entire track up. Now use the "resize" icon at the BOTTOM of the bus track and that will make it larger/taller.

Thanks Ed, I tried dragging the resize icon upwards like in other versions of VP but it does nothing on the master buses.

@jetdv Which version is working for you?

jetdv wrote on 2/17/2025, 8:53 PM

@EricLNZ I tested in version 22. Basically you have to "resize from the bottom" so you move it up using the top and then you can resize the bus. Here's resizing both the video and audio busses.

Thanks @jetdv. It appears different to my VP21 but I cannot work out from your video how you are moving it up?

I'm basically "resizing" it upwards. But instead of resizing, it MOVES.

Thanks for the responses,
I have VP-22 build 239 . The resize icon appears on the top of the master when I hover and I can drag it, but the master track height does not change. The resize icon does not appear at all on the bottom of the master trk. I will try the 'reset' procedure and see if that helps.
Resizing the master trk works as it should in VP-16 and 21 which I also have installed.

Update, the 'Reset' procedure resolved the (locked) master bus height issue as I suspected it would. Thanks again the response,
