You also need to select the proper color space for the certain Canon C-Log in the media properties. But if there is no LUT for the Canon C-Log provided in Vegas' OCIO config, you are lost. You might try if the given Arri Log C comes close enough.

Thanks Marco. Looks like a lost cause to attempt to edit in Vegas. I dislike Premiere but they have such wonderful LUT support. I wonder if Vegas would ever get there. They can't even support 3D LUT for Sony cameras. The current V12 workflow is a little hard to achieve consistency IMHO.

Did you ever figure out a workflow.. what about applying C Log profile from Film Convert?

What you need to do is finding a OCIO config set which contains the wanted Canon C log. Then copy this to the Vegas Pro ACES folder and rename the folders. Though actually I have no idea where you could find the proper OCIO config set you'd need …

Another way is to use the current version of Magic Bullet Looks (2.5) should work fine with Vegas Pro 12 and 13 and which supports CUBE lut import.

Hi Marco,

Film Convert has got presets for Canon C Log.. can I assume that this making correct use of the color space? like with MBL2.5

It depends on …

What kind of preset is this? Is it a CUBE type lut?
