Canon gl1 footage question. Is it normal?

I notice lines that zigzag on things such as fences and say a far away boat coming in that has sun bouncing on it making zigzags on the outlines.
I understand this to be distortion which we see on television everyday. But, is there away to not get these lines? I have footage I am using in a demo that has the footage flying across the screen. I notice when I do not have the footage move it is ok. But when I have it move it has the zigzags on the chainlink fence.
Is this normal?
Ideas on maybe shooting it better if the prob?
Thanx.

Normal for your computer screen. Not normal on the TV. This is common to all DV, not just the Gl-1. Have you viewed the project on a TV screen yet?

Yes and it is on the screen as well.
Only on bright things or reflective things mostly. When I use the crop/pan in vegas4 it shows up alot as I have the footage fly slowly across the screen.Seems to be because it is moving. So the footage is moving and the actually footage window is moving.
Did I miss somethin? ; )
Thanx for the help.
