What about the Canopus ADVC1394? I had it installed in my new compuiter. I believe the drivers were installed with it.

Spot and others - should I uninstall the Canpus drivers?

I believe what Spot said is that since WinXP has firewire support built-in, the drivers are only needed for older versions of Windows. In short, if you plug it in and it’s recognized as new hardware, there is no need to install the drivers. I have an ADS A/V Link and the same was true. It came with a driver disk that I never used. I just plugged it in and it worked.
