@ malowz.

Do you have grass valley codec pack v6.52 or the AVCHD conversion utility loaded? I suspect these add the required canapus registry enties.

I have Edius v6.62 loaded and the registry entries are not as you describe. Hence I still get a color shift using canapus.avi's within Vegas.

since the codecs went free, im using only the codecs pack.

what you meant "not as you described"? if there is no registry entry like mentioned, just need to create it.

Registry entry for Edius 6.52 reads
HKEY_Current _User\software\Grass Valley, then several 'directories' but no reference to codecs.
The codec pack is not a requirement for 6.52 as the codecs are inbuilt as is the conversion utility. I suspect the codec pack & conversion tool were intended for use with earlier versions of edius to aid cross platform working.
I've dropped the codec pack onto a spare machine and the registry entries are as you described. Your 'mod' works OK. I now need to load Edius and carry out tests.

I have a vague recollection that when moving to e6v5 it was necessary to uninstall the old version of edius & codec pack if added.

I had Edius 6.5 (trial version) and AVCHD2HQ was working perfectly.
At the end of trial period, I deleted Edius 6.5 from my Vaio and AVCHD2HQ no longer works!

Should I download the trial version of Edius 6.5 again or
is there any way to use AVCHD2HQ indepentetly from Edius 6.5?

Thanks.
