Cant see preview for mp4 footage from Nikon Z6ii 4k 59 fps or render

When I drop footage in the preview screen stays black and sometime freezes. I have ninvia card and drivers are up to date and I'm using sony platinum movie maker 17

There is no "sony platinum movie maker 17". Do you perhaps have Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum? If so please confirm and post MediaInfo of your problem Nikon files.
