I've been using Vegas since version 1, skipping versions over the years. I just bought into 23 from 10 and the Capture app is still pretty bad. Can't capture simple audio from my ASIO device without it sounding pretty bad. Otoh, Camtasia sounds fine capturing the audio sources.

I just wanted to say that, and in anticipation of the typical internet responses...

• I'm a retired professional audio engineer so it's not a hardware or audio device setup issue.
• I currently work technical support for one of the leading audio workstation companies and know how to configure audio device and drivers. It's not the audio device or driver.
• In case the above is unclear, everything else I own that captures screen video plus audio has the audio sounding fine, except Capture.

Capture just doesn't work very well for capturing audio. It's really a shame because the rest of it is pretty well done. The poor audio quality makes it nearly unusable.
