I am sure this problem has come up before, but I could not find it in the
forum (perhaps due to poor keyword use).
Anyway, I have a 2.4Ghz machine w/ 512M RAM, ATI AIW 7500 video card (overridding the onboard video) & 120G HD.
I have just installed Vegas and and am having trouble doing any captures
thru the video card.
Basically, I get a "Please connect to a device" message in the Preview screen
of the Capture Video app in Vegas and then it changes to "Preview Off".
Now, if I go to the Video tab in the menu, my card appears fine, but it does not have the circle next to it as the sound card does.
Also, if I select it, nothing happens. It does not seem to accept the ATI card as an option.
If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate the help.
I dont know if this is a Vegas issue or card issue, but so far everything else works fine in Vegas and the Card.
By the way, I had this card and Vegas working fine on my old 450Mhz machine
and the installation was a snap (no tweaking).
