It makes no sense - you can save the capture settings and see the comments there but they vanish when you look the video capture comment fields in project media window.

Hate to tell you Stephen but I just tried it and it works for me on both 6.0D and 7.0d.
You are referring to the Detailed View in the Project Media tab, right?

Here's what I'm doing:

Manual Capture clip
Rename
Click Done
Right Click on clip in capture/properties
Type on comment, click okay
capture more clips, add comments
close VIDCAP
Look at captured media in project window - no comments listed under either comment or video capture comment fields.

Both my Vegas 7.0e machine and 6.0d do the same thing . These steps used to work in 5.

I tried it with both batch and manual capture and it worked either way.
Sorry :-(

Thanks guys. I don't know exactly what is going on since it's on both versions of Vegas on two different machines. Maybe there's an obscure setting somewhere that controls this. I've in prefs but maybe I missed something.

Okay - I got it to work if I close Vegas and just run capture utlity.
