Capture Formats

I'm wondering if I can capture my HDV content with Sony Vegas Pro 8 in any other format then m2t ? And if so, how do I go about doing it ?

Within Vegas, HDV over firewire is always going to be .m2t.

Do you have a specific need to capture in something other than HDV? Vegas can edit HDV directly.

are you perhaps meaning on the fly transcoding to say .mxf?
