Capture from a DVD

I would lo know how to capture picture from a DVD video with Vegas.

Drag the .VOB file(s) to the timeline. Or, "File", "Import", "DVD Camcorder Disc".

Or, play the DVD and capture the image/sound as you would a tape. Hook up the DVD out connections (RCA yellow, red, white) to your camcorder, then fire wire into your computer (pass-through); or do the same through a digital convertor device (I have the ADVC 300). Another way is to download a ripper program and convert the files from the DVD. I had to do all of these options at one time or another with my own DVD's (lost the rendered master files). Of course, if it's a commercial DVD, you will have copy protection and legal issues. Not recommended. Hope this helps.
