capture hdv???

any newbie advice for capturing hdv???

I plugged in cam via FW like with normal DV and it doesnt work

you need to use the internal capture application, it's different than the external app.
Also be sure that the camera isn't set to downconvert.

i read that in another post....but if i launch "capture video" there are no options...it just launches...

how to choose internal??

In VV, look in the video tab.

Also, if you have the PDF version of the owner's manual, you can do a search for "capture" and get some pretty good stuff about it. Personally I like using electronic versions of manuals for this very reason.)
