I capture DV with no problem; when I select HDV I get "device not available" although I have made no connection changes.
Disable Device Control.
Thanks Mark - I cannot find Device Control in Preferences in Vegas Pro 19 please advise.
My apologies, @jumbo , I was thinking of the older Vegas Vidcap60 utility --
That one was eliminated from Vegas at some point, but I'm not sure about Vegas 19.
If you can't get it working and your computer has a Firewire port, you could download a copy of HDVSplit. It's also been discontinued for years, but many people still use it.
