Capture in mpeg2 format????

Can anyone tell me if VV4 can capture in mpeg2 format from a DV camera? (I am very new to Vegas)

It captures DV from a DV camera. It can then RENDER to MPEG-2 format.

In order to capture to MPEG-2 you need a MPEG-2 capture card such as the Canopus Amber card, or a all in wonder card from ATI just to name a couple (there are many more). All you will get through a firewire card and Vegas is a DV AVI file.
