capture issue from HD (mini dv tape)--Vegas 13 pro

HELP-- I am trying to capture via firewire into Vegas and the capture from mini-dv (HD) from camera keeps stopping --I have tried the capture from within the timeline interface as well as the VideoCAP (btw--it sees the camera -sony FX-7 but wont allow for in/out points) ---

Please help! --we have had vegas since Vegas 5 and this one has issues ( using Windows 10 BTW)

Advice now...pretty please ??

Try HDVSplit.

Seem to remember legacy firewire drivers are needed for Windows 10. Available from Microsoft. Just google 'legacy firewire driver' Install following MS instructions.
