Need more details. What format is your hard drive? What OS are you running? Any details will help. Roughly 9 1/2 minutes is the 2 Gig mark for DV video so it sounds like you are hitting a 2 Gig limit for some reason.

thanks for the reply,im running windows xp professional, hard drive format is fat32..pinnacle pctv analog capture card...is this info any useful to why ive got the 2 gig limit?

It's because your drives are fat 32. That's a windows limitation. DML is what allows longer captures and renders. You'll need to either configure this correctly in Capture, or simply convert the drives to NTFS. Then your limit will go away.
