I have a Panasonic PVDV51 and this happens:
When using the capture tape, or capture video from STOP position, the audio always says 32khz. (It was recorded in 16bit 48khz).
If I start capturing from a stream that is already playing, then it comes out right at 48khz.
I can only assume that the camera first reports 32khz because it hasn't played any tape yet to know it is 48khz and that capture is going with the first thing it heard (32).
What happens to the audio in this case? Is it converted to 32khz? Is just the first second 32khz and the rest 48khz? Are there any settings to prevent this from happening?
Thanks,
Alan
