Capture Problem

Someone please help. When trying to capture through my camcorder passing through my Sony trv17 on the sound is being picked up. When I select reconnect I get about a second of video and then it goes blank. If I try to capture through windows movie maker everything seems fine. So I assume all cables and equipment are working properly. VideoFactory will not pickup the video.

In Video Capture, check under Options/Preferences. If there's a checkmark next to "Enable DV Device Control", remove it. This should be turned off when you're using the camera for pass-through. Turn it back on if you'll be capturing from a tape in the Sony camcorder.

Thanks...... How do you manage to know these programs inside and out. Have you by any chance thought of doing a how-to book on the software...
