Capture seems badly broken in VV3.0a

I capture analog video using a Dazzle Hollywood DV Bridge, and that has worked flawlessly to date in VV 3.0. However, this morning I installed the 3.0a update and it appears that the capture function is badly broken; video seems to be captured OK, but the audio is trashed - it sounds as if it's been fed through the "Snipper" plug-in. As a result of this I've had to revert to 3.0, which is a great disappointment.

Has anybody else fallen foul of this problem?

After wasting a few blank DVD-Rs because I couldn't notice the stuttering on my computer monitor & I thought it was the ADVC-100, switching to XP, or the Main concept encoder. Then I captured clips in Premiere & did all the other work in Vegas 3.0a & the stuttering is gone. So on my end through process of elimination the problem lies in the capture.
