Set your preview window to Best / Full, and right above your preview window is the 3.5 floppy disk, click on that and you can save the pic.

Because if you are working in NTSC standard definition 720x480, your still frame is saved as a 655x480 square pixel image (or is it 654x480?).

This works out to basically a 0.3 megapixel photo!

DV is very low resolution compared to what we are used to in digital still photos (but we get a whole bunch of pictures every second).

Wow :O Thank you Tim, I had no idea until you pointed that out. I have been working on the freeze frame effect, and when I import the still photo into PhotoShop to extract it, it is really difficult to do cleanly because of the poor quality of the still :/ Well, live and learn thanks to people like you.
