Capture Video from Casio EX-F1

My company just bought a Casio EX-F1 HD video camera, but Studio 8 Platinum won't connect to it. I went through the Studio help steps for capturing HDV clips, and I could get as far as changing the Device Type to IEEE 1394/MPEG2-TS Device, but I get no devices listed in the device drop down so I cannot complete the connection. When I import the *.MOV files that come off the camera's memory stick, they will import into Studio, but the clips have green lines running horizontally through each frame. Not pretty. Does anyone know how to get these two talking?

First off, this camera is not a HDV device so attempting to capture from it as a HDV camera is never going to work. Presumably you will need to import the clips directly from the memory sticks.

Looking at the website it says the movie format is: "Movies: H.264/AVC, MOV format, IMA-ADPCM (stereo)" so it looks like they've invented their own flavour of MPEG 4 for this camera.

You might try renaming the .MOV files to .MP4 and see if that lets Vegas deal with them any better - I know this helps with Aiptek HD cameras which have also chosen to use their own flavour of MPEG4.
