Capturing

I'm using my a SONY PD 170 to shoot and capture my videos until my DV Deck is back from repair. How come when I capture the video it captures the entire tape and it does not seperate the clips everytime that I press stop and record? Is there a setting in Vegas that I accidentaly turned off or is there a camera setting that is not enabled? I experienced the same problem when I was capturing with my DV deck, until a few weeks ago, any ideas?

Is the clock set in the camera? The clock must be set when recording.

Make sure the "enable scene detection" option is checked.
