I'm trying out the Vegas 4 demo, and trying to capture analog video from the S-video output of a satellite box using the Vegas 4.0emo. I'm passing the satellite box S-video into a DV camcorder, Canon ZZR60, that has analog inputs. The camcorder is not recording on tape for this job, it is just functioning as an analog-to-digital converter.

I know the camcorder is outputting DV to the 1394 cable because I can see good video when I run the Vegas video capture. But the capture software will not actually capture the DV video, instead it just complains that there is no tape in the camcorder.

How do I get the Vegas video capture software to just capture the video, without requiring that it be on tape?
