capturing from bt878 card - resolution won't change

I have an aver bt878 card and vegas video. I am trying to capture my
analog video files to the computer for editing, archival etc.

Trouble is in vegas, I cannot set the card to capture at anything other
than 320x240. If I set it to a higher resolution, like 720x576, it tells
me "no combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the
connection"

anybody got any idea what I can do to fix this?

Using win2k and in a PAL world.

I use an old capture card based off the same chipset. Goto www.iuvcr.com. You can down new drivers for your card, and can even buy a capture program for $30 that works perfectly with your card.

I can capture at 640x480 or 720x480 with my bt card no problem using those drivers,

thanks for the quick answer. i have downloaded iuVCR and the updayed drivers and will install at leisure tonight.
