Capturing from Canon HDV 1080i

The notes say to capture video from Sony disc. Canon HDV 1080i uses tape. Anyone know how to make this happen?

You select file, capture/import video, you are presented with a dialog with TWO options, select the one that says "HDV", and you rewind the tape with the new controls, and then you play/record. You need the Platinum version of Vegas to have HD support btw.
