There is a setting under Options / Preferences / Disk Management for Maximum size per DV clip (MB):. If you have this enabled and set to about 35MB then you would get multiple 9:11 clips.

This is just a wild guess, but could it be that you have the INT. REC. (Interval recording) mode on your camera set to ON?
Like I said, a stab in the dark, but it just came to mind.

Hi

Totally new to video capture/editing. Ive just purchased Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 6.0 and after capturing 3 DV tapes discovered Id got hundreds of 9 second clips - some of which have slightly distorted audio at the start. I think this sounds the same issue as yours and i was wondering if you'd found out what the problem is?

I dont beleive it s a scene detection issue as most clips are same length. Also, the images I am capturing are of pretty much same scene with few breaks. Id have hoped to have captured the lost in under 20 clips. Any ideas?

Kind regards
Mark
