Capturing Video from a VCR

Hello,

I am trying to capture video from a VCR using an ION Audio Video2PC USB Capture device. I realize this isn't a Canopus or anything super professional. It shows up as an available device for audio and video in Vegas 16 (Build 307). However when I select it as the device I get the following error:

"The device 'USB 2861 Device' could not be opened.

Please make sure it is turned on and not being used by another application or user.

How can I get Vegas to recognize this? Thanks!

PS - I have installed the latest drivers from ION Audios website.

Vegas will not capture from a USB device. It needs firewire.

Have you tried capturing with the application supplied by Ion? Capture in Power Director, edit in Vegas.
