Well, of course a lot depends on your camcorder and your budget. But here's a simple and inexpensive solution that will work with pretty much any consumer camcorder and most action cams. It mounts to any window or smooth surface and can be shaped to point any direction.

Camcorder : If Mr Canon doesn’t produce anything in the next 4 months, then my Travelogue SX50hs. I’m awfully tempted by Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-RX10 IV. Nice 👍

Budget : I’ll look at anything under £200.

Not taking my XF300! 😂

This Sunday, I had my first opportunity to take the RX10 IV out for shooting something other than sports.

These clips were not altered except to bring the levels to Studio RGB, but show some of the capabilities of the camera. The most striking is the long reach for a package of moderate size and weight.

I’m working my list of skills to commit to muscle memory.
