Case of dropped frames?

Hi,

I have a 3 minute video that I print out to the DV tape in the NTSC DV format. Before printing out, I preview the video in Vegas and it appears fine -- no glitches/jerks/missing frames.

After printing and viewing on a TV, there are about 2-3 instances where the video freezes for about half a second, before resuming (along with the audio). I previewed on my camcorder's viewfinder, but ran into the same problem.

Is this a case of frames being dropped during the printout? What can I do to remedy this?

Thanks!
Kunal.

Turn off the preview monitor, scopes if they're on. Render to a new track so that any effects or transitions don't have to be rendered live.

I might be asking the obvious, but if I read you correctly, you are saying that when I am rendering and printing to tape, I should turn off the Vegas internal preview window?
