Hello,
I have the problem with stabilizing videos in Catalyst Prepare and Catalyst Browse softwares. Because of this issue I am not able to edit my videos in Vegas Pro 20. :(
I submited a ticked to Sony team, but they haven't replied me yet.
The issue is related to 3.0 firmware to Sony FX3 camera which was released on April 12th 2023.
The video files cannot be stabilized in Catalyst softwares after upgrade firmware to Sony FX3 camera.
The output video files are completely dark, stabilizing process goes too fast and the output video files are 100 times smaller (I mean filesize) than the original files. The output video looks like it would be a black frame with no content video data.
One of my Youtube guru which also has Sony FX3, did also upgrade to 3.0 version, but he doesn't have problems with stabilizing footage in Catalyst Browse after Sony FX3 firmware upgrade. I don`t know how to solve the issue. I tried to upgrade Nvidia RTX 2080 TI drivers, I also tried reset Catalyst Prepare software to default settings (by holding CTRL + SHIFT + double click on Catalyst execution file), but none of these things haven't solved the issue.
Vidoes recorded on previous Sony FX3 firmware 2.0 are ok and they can be stabilized correctly by Catalyst Prepare/Browse.
The problem is with the footage recorded on Sony FX3 3.0 firmware.
My footage are: 4K 50p SLOG-3, 10 bit, 4:2:2, 200 Mbps, XAVC S with 4 audio sound tracks.
Can you advice me what I can do more?
Maybe the issue can be solved without Sony team?
Is there anybody of you who has such problem?
Do I need to pay for Catalyst Edit to work in Catalyst Prepare? I noticed that Catalyst Edit has expired me. I suppose that the problem is not related with Catalyst Edit expiration, because previous footage on previous firmware are stabilzed correctly in Catalyst Prepare. Catalyst Prepare subscription expires me in year 2024.
Thank you in advance for any help and tips
Regards
Marcin
