Strongly disagree with the second post in this thread of few words and even more brief rationale. The program does duplicate what many other services are available, but for the independent producer working with the new Sony cameras and codecs, this is good effort at unifying a system.
I wonder how much of it will be compatible with Vegas e.g. will Vegas import ASC-CDL data and use it?? If it does will Vegas also export ASC-CDLs??
Maybe SCS need to get Vegas handling decade old Edit Decision Lists before worrying about Colour Decision Lists.
I'm sure these tools have their place, they're going to appeal to DoPs and DITs, not editors in general and certainly not Vegas users.
