CCE SP Settings For Best Render

Can anyone direct me to a link or give some notes on what the best settings for CCE SP are. I don't understand half of the settings available.

Try here for a start. This is a very sophisticated and very fast encoder that produces excellent results, and there's been a lot written on it.

BJ_M said here that CCE SP was best for progressive footage, and that for interlaced MC was hard to beat.
