Hi all,
after you have done the matlock hack to get your Win XP working with CD Arch 4.0g, what you want is for your new burner to work with CD Arch, right?
Ive been using new burners for ages with CD Arch that arent on its "Official" burner list. Currently im using a Sony 20x burner with it, and it works fine. I dont understand what ppl are complaining about.
Go to "Select Drive"....your drive doesnt show up, right? no probs...click on "ADVANCED" tab, if your drive is an IDE one select the "MMC IDE Compatible" drive from the list...then click on "properties" and cycle thru the "rungs" at the top dropdown list and the "names" at the bottom list until you see your drive listed there. Click on it, then youre away and burnin!!
If its a scsi drive, then select the "SCSI Compatible" drive from the list instead of IDE. Ive also used a Panasonic burner for ages on win98 this way.
The only small prob you might find is that the BURNING TIME COUNTDOWN will be off...
Post your thankyou messages here :)
