Soungforge could have made the timeline for each track a bit more non-linear by allowing not only the moving of tracks along the timeline, but volume envelopes as well associated with those tracks. You can group tracks together and move them in sync, and you select all volume envelope nodes for each channel, but you cannot drag them or group them together to maintain their location on the timeline. This is frustrating when you want to insert new tracks in between existing ones, but you're having to redo the envelopes all over again.
